AWARENESS AND SUPPORT

The issues our seniors face – like hunger, loneliness and isolation – are often hidden in plain sight. Part of DSCC’s mission is to educate others on these issues and to generate the awareness and support needed to bring about real solutions.

By reaching into the community, we share the responsibility of loving and caring for our seniors.

Outreach Partnerships

Through our outreach efforts, DSCC has developed some wonderful and beneficial partnerships. Below is one of the partners that are part of the DSCC team.

College of DuPage Student Nursing Program

The student nurses enrolled at the College of DuPage provide much needed services for our seniors including blood pressure tests, physical exams and being there to answer any questions our seniors have. In return, DSCC offers the College of DuPage nursing students wonderful opportunities and practical experience serving others, learning about the special physical, emotional and social needs of senior citizens and to show love and kindness.

The partnership between DSCC and the College of DuPage Nursing School has been successful for both our seniors and for the nursing students.
