Thank you for expressing your desire to do more to help the seniors in our own community. Like you, the DuPage Senior Citizens Council (DSCC) is an organization who cares about the issues facing our senior population. And if you are like me, you know there is nothing like the feeling of being a part of something that does so much good for others. It is a feeling that stays with me and is contagious.

This is why I am excited to share a little about DSCC with you and invite you to learn more about getting involved with the work they are doing to serve others.  These are easy ways but have a lasting impact on others.

For over 40 years, DSCC has been meeting the growing needs of our most vulnerable friends when no one else has. By delivering meals to senior’s homes to providing well-being checks to taking care of minor home repairs and other services, DSCC helps countless senior citizens each year stay in their homes and live with independence and dignity – something we all want as we look to our golden years.

Below are a few of the ways that you can help seniors in small and easy way, including getting involved in the 8th Annual Dancing With The Starz Event.

HOW YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE RIGHT NOW

Doing something good for others doesn’t have to be hard, complicated or expensive. In fact, three of these SIX WAYS to support DSCC are FREE but can make a huge impact on the seniors DSCC serves.

Two times a year, DSCC hosts special Gala events where you can hob nob with local celebrities while enjoying an evening of fun, friendship and festivities – all while supporting DSCC. The proceeds from these events DIRECTLY help provide the much-needed services that DSCC provides to seniors in our communities.

To help DSCC fund the critical services that benefit seniors in our community, you can attend one of the events or you can simply donate to DSCC. There are many different ways to donate to DSCC.

There are so many ways to make a difference in the lives of seniors. From volunteering to deliver meals, to being a part of their events to sharing their passion for seniors with others, when you join the mission, you are making a real difference.
